Add Pages to Your U.S. Passport

June 11th, 2007

A standard U.S. Passport comes with 24 pages but only 16 of them are for visa stamps. The first eight contain things like personal identification information, passport instructions and travel tips.

If you travel often to international destinations, it is quite possible you could run out of visa pages before your passport expires. To avoid this problem in the future, you may request additional visa pages at the time of application.

All you need to do is attach a signed request for additional Visa pages to your passport application. There is no additional cost for this service.

If, however, you already have a passport that has less than two to four empty visa pages but quite a bit of time left before expiration, you can send in a special application to have visa pages added to your present passport.

To learn more about this service, visit add pages to passport at U.S. Passport Service Guide.
