What Types of Cruises Are Available to You

If you are thinking about taking a nice vacation, one of the best types of vacations to take is a luxury cruise. There are many types of cruises available and you should be able to find one that will fit anyone’s budget, lifestyle and interests. If you would like to get away from the ordinary, here are some examples of the different types of luxury cruises available to you.

There are three main types of luxury cruises, high end luxury cruising, family and mainstream cruises and niche cruises.

High End Cruises
High end cruises are as described, “luxurious.” They have very high standards on luxury, food and accommodations. Usually the staff to guest ratio is extremely low sometimes as low to 1 staff worker to 2 or 3 guests. Most rooms are decorated like luxury hotels and there are plenty of expensive amenities on board. High end cruises consist of ships owned by Cunard, such as the QE II.

Family and Mainstream Cruises
Family and mainstream cruises offer great accommodation, delicious food and lots of fun activities for the whole family or just for couples. Ships that are included in this category are Royal Caribbean, Princess Cruises, Carnival Cruise Line and Disney among others. You can usually find great rooms or low budget rooms on any ship and there are plenty of fun activities.

Niche Cruises
Niche cruises are constantly popping up. These include cruises on very small ships to exotic destination such as Wind Jammer Cruises or cruises that cater to certain groups such as a Star Trek Cruises, Christian cruises, or even nudist cruises.
